On Friday, April 5, 2019 Hawthorne hosted two dozen faculty/staff/students from IUPUI as they participated in a day of service to celebrate the university’s 50th anniversary. The volunteers took on a huge task for us – cleaning out and organizing our basement area that is primarily used to store program supplies and equipment. This space is one area of our building that hadn’t been touched in years and therefore really needed a good spring cleaning. Our heartfelt thanks to IUPUI, the Center for Service and Learning and the Office of Community Engagement for their generosity and commitment to serving their surrounding community; We are truly thankful for everyone who helped make this a reality. The before and after photos are evidence of how hard everyone worked to make this happen!
