The 2017 Hootenanny Fiesta has been scheduled! This much-anticipated annual event will be held on Friday, October 27.

In a celebration of the bridging of cultures in the Hawthorne Neighborhood on Indianapolis’ near west side, neighborhood residents designed an annual event that pulls from its Appalachian and Latino heritage to support the exchange of multicultural life in that community. Aptly named the Hootenanny Fiesta, this one day, annual celebration combines such Appalachian culinary essentials as Ham & Bean Soup with Latino delicacies that will make many a mouth water. The Hootenanny Fiesta, through various medium and exchanges, brings together all people from the neighborhood to uplift its unique cultural make up and have a fun time all the while. This year’s Fiesta is part of Spirt & Place.
