Welcome to the new Hawthorne Community Center website!  We’re so excited to finally have the improved site live and be able to show you what we’ve been working on for the past few months.

The industry standard is to redesign a website every two or three years. It had been much, much longer than that since Hawthorne updated its site and the technology had changed quite a bit. It was past time for us to improve how we are communicating with those that use the center, donate or who just want to find out more about what services Hawthorne provides.

I want to thank everyone who provided input on the project and especially to web designer Todd Fuqua, the owner of CToddCreations and Helpful Bytes. Todd took all of the gorgeous photos you see on the site, created the new look and has gone above and beyond by donating more hours to the project than we could have ever dreamed. He initially gave us an insanely low quote and then did so much work that we never expected. To say Todd helped us be a good steward of the grant we received and used for the project is an understatement. He truly wanted this to be a showpiece and spent countless hours getting every detail right. We are so very grateful for his work.

We hope you like our new look and find the website easy to use. Let me know what you think by emailing me at edillahunt@hawthornecenter.org or leave your comments at the bottom of this post!
